Are you new to research-practice partnerships but aren’t sure where to start? Then this five-part online series, led by NNERPP Director Paula Arce-Trigatti, is for you!
Across five FREE 60-minute sessions, we provide an engaging overview of all things RPP for those who are new to research-practice partnerships, as well as anyone wanting a refresher on the most up-to-date thinking on RPPs.

About
Brokers in research-practice partnerships (RPP) are an essential component for helping researchers and practitioners work together on research that supports improvements in education. They are the professionals that serve as the bridge between the research, practice, and community spaces within partnerships. RPP brokers often play a critical role in forming, sustaining, and transforming RPPs through their efforts to connect, network, and nurture the relationships necessary to start, evolve, and sustain an RPP. Although foundational, this role is often invisible with limited opportunities for learning how to improve brokering skill and practice.
In response, NNERPP is excited to offer three new learning opportunities created specifically to equip brokers with tools, processes, and a learning community that will strengthen their crucial work in strengthening partners and partnerships.
Why These Learning Options?
After a yearlong pilot version of a possible workshop to support the learning demands of emerging and established RPP brokers, NNERPP developed the RPP Brokers Workshop, in addition to two other types of learning options to meet the various learning needs of our RPP brokering community. Currently, these learning opportunities are the only available training activities developed by RPP brokers for RPP brokers. For such an important role in RPPs, learning with and from others on the necessary skills, knowledge, and mindsets needed to become an effective RPP broker is imperative.
Join us on a deep dive into the tools, practices, and experiences of effective RPP brokering via one of the options available! Together, we will explore the NNERPP RPP Broker’s Handbook and build a community of practice around the crucial role of brokering to strengthen both partners and partnerships.

| FEBRUARY 24, 2023 | WORKSHOP VIRTUAL SESSION #1 | 12 – 3 PM ET Participants will receive an in-depth introduction to the Broker’s Handbook 2.0 and use the RPP Broker framework to develop brokering goals and collaborate with other brokers on how to best measure progress. |
